This may seem like a sad love song. It was meant to express the longing I felt during the times when my beloved Tom and I were separated by the demands of our work. After releasing my CD I learned that fans who are military spouses felt this kind of longing. Their longing, however, is heightened by the fear of permanent loss of their loved one. This song helps you think about your beloved and let him or her know they are missed.
Other listeners hear this as a "new love" song. They think it describes the passionate longing one feels for their beloved when love is new.
